Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 May 2026
These terms govern your use of Pride POS ("the Service"), provided by the Pride POS team ("we", "us"). By signing up, you agree to these terms.
1. Service
Pride POS is a cloud-hosted billing and inventory application for retail businesses in India. You access it through a web browser. We host the data on Supabase (AWS Mumbai region).
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate signup information (business name, email, GSTIN if applicable).
- You are responsible for keeping your password and staff PINs confidential.
- You are responsible for everything done by anyone you give access to (staff, employees).
- You must be the owner or authorised representative of the business you sign up.
3. Subscription, billing, and trial
- New accounts get a 5-day free trial with full access. No card required.
- After the trial, the Service costs ₹499 per month per business, billed via Razorpay UPI Autopay or card.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing.
- We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months. Unused days at cancellation are not refunded.
- If a payment fails, we retry per Razorpay's standard retry schedule. After repeated failures, your account is paused (read-only). It is fully restored when payment is recovered.
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers stay on the previous price for the current billing period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal activity, including issuing invoices for transactions that don't exist.
- Attempt to access another customer's data.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-export the Service for resale.
- Upload illegal content, malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Use the Service to harass or deceive others.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your data
- You own your data — items, customers, bills, all of it. We never sell it.
- You can export everything at any time from Settings → Billing as a single JSON file.
- We retain your data for 30 days after cancellation so you can resume if you change your mind. After 30 days, business data is archived; we do not restore it after that point.
- Bill audit history is retained for 6 years as required by Indian GST law, even after account deletion.
6. Service availability
We target 99.5% uptime but make no formal SLA. The Service depends on Supabase (database), Razorpay (payments), and the public internet. We are not liable for outages caused by these providers.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profits damages.
Pride POS is a tool to record your business activity. You remain responsible for GST compliance, tax filings, and the legality of your business operations. We do not provide tax or legal advice.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to your account owner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.
9. Termination
- You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing.
- We can terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice except for serious violations.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
